Visitor Registration Guide

In line with MOH's latest guidelines, we have updated our visitor policy to reduce the risk of infection. Click here for our updated visiting policy.

Our Visitor Registration System helps to manage the flow of visitors in and out of our hospital. It will facilitate contact tracing in a pandemic situation. Visitors to all wards are required to register.

The Automated Visitor Management System is designed for better management of the number of visitors to the wards, allowing for a more convenient and hassle-free visit to the hospital. The system also facilitates contact tracing for the safety of our patients and visitors, when the need arises.

There are two ways you can register as a visitor:
  • Visitor Registration Counters
  • Visitor Registration Kiosks

Who needs to register?
  • Visitors going to the wards

What is required for registration?
Ward visitors may register with the following information:

He/She may approach the registration counter or use the self-registration kiosk to register.

What if the visitor cannot remember the patient details?
We are unable to disclose information about the patient due to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Visitors are encouraged to contact the patient's next-of-kin/family members for the patient's details.

What about visitors to ICU, High Dependency and Isolation wards?

  • Children below 12 years old are not allowed to visit, except on an exceptional circumstances
I have a family conference with the doctor out of visiting hours. How can I access the wards?
You may approach any visitor registration counter for assistance. You should have a letter from the ward verifying such an appointment. However, if this is not available, our staff will assist to verify the appointment by contacting the ward.

How will a visitor know if the quota is met or when there is an available visiting slot?
If a visitor is unable to access the gantry during the visiting hours, it means that the quota would have been met. The visitor will be placed on the visitor wait list upon scanning his/her identification card at the gantry. An SMS will be sent to the first visitor on the wait list once a visiting slot is available. Please arrive at the gantry within 10 minutes of receiving the SMS. Otherwise, the slot will be given to the next visitor on the list after 10 minutes.

Once you are registered, you may scan your identification card at the gantry to enter during visiting hours. For assistance, please feel free to approach our staff at any visitor registration counter.

For visitors who are uncomfortable with, or find difficulty using the visitor registration kiosks, our counter staff will be on hand to register your personal details. Please be informed that gantry access to the various block is restricted to patient’s location.

All information provided by visitors will be kept strictly confidential and used solely for the purpose of ward visitation and contact tracing in the event of a pandemic situation.
