Dr Leng Shuang

Ph.D., B.ENG

Profile

Dr Leng Shuang is currently Research Fellow in National Heart Centre Singapore and Instructor at Duke-NUS Medical School Singapore. Dr Leng received the bachelor’s degree (1st class honor) and Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2005 and 2011. Dr Leng’s expertise encompasses cardiac image processing and computer science and his research interests include analysis of cardiac MR, CT and 3D echo images, algorithm development for cardiac segmentation and quantitation of regional cardiac contractile function and strain, and application of AI for image analysis.

Dr Leng has published 36 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and more than 40 conference abstracts, invented two intellectual properties, and been awarded the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medicine Research Grant. His research has received several Young Investigator Awards at regional/local conferences including ASEAN Federation of Cardiology Congress (2018), Singapore Cardiac Society Annual Scientific Meeting (2018, 2019), and IMPACT Biannual Scientific Symposium (2019).
