Profile

Dr. Pek received her undergraduate medical training at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She is double exit certified in both Plastic Surgery and General Surgery, from the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh respectively. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine in Singapore. In 2019, she was awarded the Gold Medal from the College of Surgeons in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Dr. Pek was also the recipient of the ICOPLAST Award of Excellence in 2019.

Currently practising as a plastic surgeon at Singapore General Hospital, her clinical work centres on reconstructive surgery following cancer and trauma surgery. She also has research interest in facial and lymphatic surgery and has presented her work at numerous international and local conferences. Dr. Pek has been involved in the organisation of various meetings locally, including the annual Plastic Aesthetic Surgery Meeting in Singapore 2019 and the first Singapore Face and Hand Transplant Meeting in 2015.

Dr Pek’s key clinical interests are microsurgical reconstructive surgery, lymphatic surgery as well as facial and nasal reconstruction.
