SKH Advanced Microsurgery Fellowship Training Programme

The Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) Advanced Microsurgery fellowship is a Singapore Medical Council (SMC)-accredited training programme that aims to develop post-residency surgeons to be skilled in the subspeciality of super microsurgery, including lymphedema surgery, LVA (Lymphatico-Venular Anastomosis) for secondary lymphedema and prophylactic LVA for prevention of lymphedema (such as post breast cancer), VLNT (Vascularised Lymph Node Transfer), functional free flap reconstructions for lower limbs and breast, perforator flaps, neurotised flaps and tarsal tunnel releases.

Clinical fellows in the Advanced Microsurgery fellowship programme will have clinical exposure in managing the spectrum of plastic surgery conditions and have hands-on operative experience under direct supervision by the faculty. This is to develop competence in general plastic surgery, advanced lymphedema surgery, and functional free-flap reconstructions.

Our training programme welcomes local and international medical graduates, who have completed formal training in plastic surgery. Options include home institution-sponsored clinical fellowship positions under SMC temporary registration and SKH-supported funding for appropriately credentialled applicants.
