Bringing Nursing Care Closer to Families

The SingHealth Community Nursing Service (Northeast) provides convenient, accessible support for women and young children within the neighbourhood. Whether you are planning for pregnancy, currently expecting, or caring for a young child, our Community Nurses are here to guide you in maintaining good health and well‑being.

What can Community Nurses do for you?

Children’s Health

Our Community Nurses support families with children aged 0–6 years through:

  • Growth, development and nutrition support
  • Oral health screening and education
  • Counselling for common childhood illnesses, allergies, hygiene and child safety
  • Health coaching and lifestyle counselling

Women’s Health

We provide support for:

  • Family planning and preconception health support
  • Support for common health conditions and chronic diseases during pregnancy
  • Postnatal physical recovery and mental wellness screening
  • Breastfeeding and lactation support
  • Health coaching and lifestyle counselling

If needed, Community Nurses may refer you to Doctors or connect you with other community care providers for appropriate care.

Centre-Based Consultations

Our Community Nurses provide consultations in locations such as partnering organisations’ premises. 

Home Visits

If you need nursing advice but are unable to visit our centres, home visits are available where necessary. 

Who Is suitable for these nursing services?

Our services are designed for:

  • Women aged 21 years and above; and/or
  • Children aged 0 to 6 years; and
  • Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents; and
  • Residents of Sengkang and Punggol

Individuals who do not meet all criteria may still be enrolled on a case‑by‑case basis (based on the assessment by our Community Nurse).

How much will these services cost?

All community nursing services are currently fully subsidised for eligible participants.
Participants will only need to bear costs for:

  • Doctor visits
  • Services by external health/social care providers
  • Medical and assistive devices, medications, consumables
  • Additional nursing services (if any)
