The SKH Sponsorship Journey
It has been a fruitful journey for me so far and it all began with a Pre-service Sponsorship application with SKH in 2013!
It was an exciting beginning with the honor to vote for the logo of the hospital and pen down wishes for SKH's Wall at the ground-breaking ceremony. To me, the sponsorship awarded for the Diploma study was not only about academic performance, it entailed engagement through various forms as well - constant check-ins with the HR and Nursing teams to understand my progression and challenges; attending Students' Engagement Sessions to meet our Chief Nurse, HODs and future colleagues; and receiving regular updates on the development of SKH.
The most memorable experience for me was participating in SKH Bubble Bump Tournament in 2018 when I was serving my NS. My then CEO, Professor Christopher Cheng, was in the same team as me! These activities offered a platform for me to stay active and meet our leaders in person. I was thankful for a second sponsorship awarded for my degree studies in Nursing with my outstanding Diploma results.
Growing alongside SKH, I would like to express my gratitude to the hospital for making my education journey fun and enriching. It is now time to contribute back to SKH. I've been a Staff Nurse since May 2020, and I look forward to developing and growing my career with SKH.

- Applicable to GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ / ‘A’ level graduates who have been admitted into relevant programmes at:
- ITE College East
- Nanyang Polytechnic
- Ngee Ann Polytechnic
- National University of Singapore
- Singapore Institute of Technology
- Singapore University of Social Sciences
- Applicable to current students who have performed well academically and attained good co-curricular activity records
- Driven, dedicated and service-oriented

Upon graduation, you will serve your bond obligation with Sengkang General Hospital in accordance with the number of years that you have been sponsored.
