Ward Types, Facilities & Charges

We have the following ward types available for our patient's selection:

* Our Dietitians and Chefs specially plan all meals served in the wards to ensure that we meet our patients' nutritional needs and ensure optimal health and recovery.
** All Muslim meals are halal. Special diets are also available for patients who need specific dietary requirements.

Ward Facilities & Services

Meals

Our dietitians specially plan all meals served in Sengkang General Hospital. All Muslim meals are halal. Special diets are also available based on your nutritional risk assessment and after consultation with our dietitians. Feel free to approach our ward nurses, if you have any personal dietary requirement(s).

Our menus offered include Chinese, Chinese Vegetarian, Muslim, Indian, Indian Vegetarian and Western. Patients in the A1 single-bedded room and B1 ward will have an additional choice of selection during lunch & dinner from our chef's special menu.

Nurse Call Button

If you require assistance at any time of the day and have difficulty walking, please press the Nurse Call Button located on your handset device and a nurse will attend to you.

Toiletries

A bath towel is provided for you in the ward. Patients staying in private A1 single-bedded room will also receive a complimentary toiletry pack containing a face towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, comb and pen. Shampoo and shower gel are available in the shower rooms in all wards. 

In-house Entertainment

Mediacorp programmes are available on all televisions in the wards.

At the general ward, please switch your mobile phone to silent mode and moderate your tone of voice when speaking so as not to disturb fellow patients. 

At the ICU – Please do not use a handphone within 2 metres of any medical equipment in the ICU.

Newspapers

Patients in the A1 single-bedded room will receive a copy of the newspaper of your choice daily.

Discharge Lounge

A Discharge Lounge is available for your discharge, while you are waiting for a family member or friend to pick you up.

INPATIENT DAILY WARD CHARGE

Effective from 1 August 2024

Note:

1. Daily ward charges for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Resident for ward type B2 & C are based on the assumption that patient receives maximum government subsidies. 
2. Daily ward charges exclude other hospital charges (e.g. Daily treatment fee, medication, laboratory and imaging tests etc.)
3. Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident patient discharged from all ward types can opt for either subsidized or private patient class for their Specialist Outpatient appointments and follow-up management.
4. All charges are rounded up to the nearest dollar and are inclusive of prevailing GST rate.
5. Fees quoted are effective from 1 August 2024 and are subjected to change without notice.

DAY SURGERY FACILITY CHARGES

Effective from 1 August 2024

Note:

1. Day surgery facility charges for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Resident are based on the assumption that patient receives maximum government subsidies.
2. Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident patient discharged from day surgery can opt for either subsidized or private patient class for their Specialist Outpatient appointments and follow-up management.
3. All charges are rounded up to the nearest dollar and are inclusive of prevailing GST rate.
4. Fees quoted are effective from 1 August 2024 and are subjected to change without notice.
