Your Clinic Visit

Thank you for choosing Sengkang General Hospital. 

Our specialist clinics occupying six floors at the Medical Centre offers a comprehensive suite of medical services and team-based care for better outcomes. Patients are primarily referred to see our team of specialists at these clinics by polyclinics and general practitioners.

The Medical Centre also serves as a hub for national specialty centres in the northeast which will complement its suite of specialist care services. These specialty care services are being offered by National Cancer Centre Singapore, National Heart Centre Singapore, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, National Neuroscience Institute and Singapore National Eye Centre. 


Consultation

Consultations at our clinics are by appointment only. Before you visit our clinics, you will need to obtain a referral from your general practitioner, polyclinic doctor or ward doctor, as this will determine if you require follow-up by a specialist.


On your first visit to the clinic, please bring the following documents:

  • NRIC or Birth Certificate (if you are under 15) or Passport and Employment Pass / Work Permit / Dependent Pass / Long Term Visit Pass / S Pass (if you are a foreigner)
  • Civil Service Card / Public Service Card (for civil servants and their dependents only)
  • Medical Benefits Card such as LOG, Medical Benefits Eligibility Card (if available)
  • Any other subsidy cards (e.g. CHAS / Pioneer Generation (PG) cards)
  • Referral letter from your polyclinic / private doctor


Registering at the Specialist Clinic

Patients with appointments are encouraged to arrive 20 minutes before the appointment time. Upon arrival at the Medical Centre, please proceed to register at our self-registration kiosks. You will be given a Q-ticket and can proceed straight to the respective service stations or consultation rooms indicated on it.  

Please do proceed and inform the counter staff of any change in your address, identification type and/or contact numbers, if any.

Use of Personal Mobility Aids (PMAs) 

At SKH Campus, ensuring the safety of our patients, visitors and staff is our priority. Patient care and treatment areas can sometimes become crowded, and we want to make sure everyone can move around safely and comfortably. 

We seek your understanding in following these guidelines. This policy will apply to all patients, visitors, caregivers, and next-of-kin. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to create a safer environment for everyone in our hospital premises.


Medical Centre
  • Personal Mobility Aids (PMAs) that satisfy the following requirements are allowed into the Outpatient Clinics at SKH Medical Centre: 
   - Size limit: 1.25m (L) x 0.7m (W) x 1.5m (H)
   - Speed limit: Ride at walking speed of 4 km/hr 
   - Audio devices: Mute your music/audio devices for the comfort of other patients 

  • Wheelchairs, including motorised ones, are allowed.
Wards
  • Personal Mobility Aids (PMAs), such as mobility scooters, are not allowed. 
  • Wheelchairs, including motorised ones, are allowed.

If you are being admitted, please arrange for your PMA to be taken home or you can park it at designated parking bays in our hospital.

If you need help moving around, please approach our staff for wheelchair assistance. 

​Emergency Department
  • Personal Mobility Aids (PMAs), such as mobility scooters, are not allowed. 
  • Wheelchairs, including motorised ones, are allowed.

If you are being admitted, please arrange for your PMAs to be taken home or you can park it at designated parking bays in our hospital.

If you need help moving around, please approach our staff for wheelchair assistance.


Parking of PMAs

Please park your PMA at designated parking bays conveniently located at:

  • Emergency Department --> Main walk-in entrance 
  • Blk 3 and Blk 6 --> Behind Lift Lobby B
  • Blk 1 and Blk 2--> Behind Polar shop
  • Medical Centre --> Main Drop-off/Pick-up point 
  • Community Hospital --> In front of Blk 7 and Blk 9 registration counter
  • Surgery on 2 --> Lift Lobby B (Level 2)
  • Endoscopy Centre --> Outside Endoscopy Centre (Level 2)


If you need assistance moving around during your stay or visit, we are happy to provide wheelchair assistance. Please approach our Visitor Service Officers or any hospital staff for assistance.
