A Healthier You: Understanding Men’s Health in Singapore As a man, do you feel that you could be more energetic and be better aware of personal well-being? The health of men is a unique need that has not been formally addressed in most healthcare systems. Older men are vulnerable to common diseases that are well characterised but lacking a broad-based interventional programme. An example is prostate cancer and sarcopenia, both of which are common but lack a national based screening program. In younger men, testicular cancer is the most common solid organ tumour and amenable to detection by self-examination but not well emphasised. Assoc Prof Lee Lui Shiong |

Strength That Lasts: Why Muscle Matters More Than You Think Being strong isn't just about building bigger muscles. It's about being able to carry life's responsibilities with confidence for years to come. Whether it's keeping up with your children, supporting your family, excelling at work, or maintaining your independence as you age, muscle health plays a critical role. Muscles not only enable everyday movements but also support important bodily functions such as metabolism, immunity, and the body’s ability to cope with physical stressors like infections, illness, and surgery. This session will help you discover what healthy muscle ageing looks like, why muscle health is important, and how to preserve or build muscle while empowering you to remain resilient, dependable and engaged in family responsibilities for many years to come.
