SKH Allied Health Public Engagements

Our Allied Health Professionals also play a crucial role in public engagement initiatives aimed at promoting health and wellness within the community. Through various programs and activities, we actively educate the public on essential health topics, such as disease prevention, nutrition, and rehabilitation. These engagement activities not only enhance public awareness but also empower residents to make informed decisions and encourage healthier lifestyles.

SKH Community Health Fair 2024    

SKH Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) brought their expertise directly to the community during the SKH Community Health Fair 2024, demonstrating their commitment to population health beyond hospital settings. Our AHPs team engaged hundreds of community members through interactive booth engagements and demonstrations. The hands-on demonstration gave community members an opportunity to learn about the different health services that AHPs offer. Through these meaningful interactions, we aim to promote preventive care and empower individuals to take charge of their health and wellbeing.

International Day of Older Persons

Every year, our Allied Health Professionals contribute to public booth engagements to commemorate International Day of Older Persons, providing essential information and support to promote healthy ageing and wellbeing among older adults. They offer educational resources, conduct interactive activities, and share strategies for maintaining independence and quality of life as we age. By engaging with the community, we are able to addres common concers about ageing, promote preventive health measures, and encourage conversations about successful ageing strategies across physical, cognitive, and social domains.

Other Engagements

Beyond our signature events, our AHPs have established strong partnerships with Community Centres (CCs) and Active Ageing Centres (AACs) across the region, participating in numerous community events throughout the year. 

With collaborative efforts our AHPs have set up engagement booths at health carnivals, wellness festivals, and community outreach programmes, bringing healthcare expertise directly to residents' doorsteps. These grassroots engagements have enabled our AHPs to reach diverse community segments, from young families to elderly residents, fostering stronger relationships between healthcare providers and the communities we serve while promoting preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices at the neighbourhood level.
