Dr Chee is an Associate Consultant with the Family & Community Medicine department in Sengkang General Hospital.
She graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and was a recipient of the SS Ratnam Book Prize. She obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland thereafter.
She completed training in the Family Medicine residency programme and obtained her Master of Medicine (Family Medicine). During her residency training, she also served as Assistant Chief Resident.
She subsequently obtained her fellowship from the College of Family Physicians, and specialist accreditation in Family Medicine by the Specialist Accreditation Board.
Dr Chee has an active involvement in teaching. She holds teaching appointments with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, as well as Duke-NUS Medical School. She has been involved in teaching undergraduate students from NUS and LKC, as well as postgraduate trainees enrolled in the GDFM, MMED and FCFP programmes. She also serves as a faculty member for the MMED and FCFP college programmes. She is also involved as an examiner for the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
