Dr Tai Chia Hui is an Associate Consultant practising in the Head & Neck Division, Department of Surgery, Sengkang General Hospital. She received her formal surgical training through the NUHS Residency Programme and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (General Surgery) in 2024. She is accredited as Specialist in General Surgery by the Specialist Accreditation Board, Singapore.
Skilled in open and minimally invasive approaches in general surgery, Dr Tai’s clinical interest includes thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery. She also performs endoscopy and ultrasound-guided biopsies of thyroid nodules. Shaped by experience across diverse healthcare settings, she relates well to patients from different backgrounds. She provides clear and practical explanation to help patients make decisions which align with their priorities.
Beyond clinical work, Dr Tai is dedicated in undergraduate and postgraduate surgical education, mentoring medical students and junior doctors. She participates in humanitarian medical work and has led a team of volunteers on a medical mission in Nepal.
Her goal is simple yet enduring – to treat with skill and care with heart.
