Dr Dickson Chau is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sengkang General Hospital. He specialises in spine surgery, with expertise in uniportal endoscopic spine surgery — a technique that minimises tissue disruption and promotes faster recovery. He also performs motion-preserving cervical disc replacement surgery, helping patients maintain natural spine movement and quality of life.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr Chau is deeply committed to mentoring and educate the PGY1 Residency Programme as Associate Program Director, and Core Faculty for the SingHealth Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. He also serves as Education Lead for Orthopaedics at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and is Co-chair of the institution Junior Doctor Well-Being Committee.
Dr Chau is actively involved in healthcare innovation and digital transformation. He contributes to institutional and national committees on robotics credentialing, AI-enabled care, and 3D-printing applications in orthopaedics. His translational work in custom 3D-printed insoles and clinical informatics demonstrates a strong focus on improving patient outcomes and system efficiency.
He is also a frequent invited speaker at both local and international conferences, including the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Asia-Pacific Conference and SICOT Young Surgeons International Meeting, and has been invited to overseas courses as faculty to teach the technique of Uniportal Endoscopic Spine Surgery.
