Dr. Colin Wang is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon (Trauma and Adult Reconstruction) in Sengkang General Hospital since 2019. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009 and upon completion of his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training, he was appointed as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Ortho) of Edinburgh in 2019.
Dr. Colin Wang completed a 6-month clinical fellowship (Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP)) at the prestigious Wrightington Hospital, United Kingdom in 2023 where he was trained in complex hip and knee joint reconstruction and revision surgeries.
Dr. Colin Wang is a high-volume trauma and adult reconstruction surgeon, having performed >400 surgeries in a year. His current practice incorporates the use of robotic technology to perform hip and knee joint replacement, including partial (unicompartment and patellofemoral) knee replacement. He has special interests in complex hip/knee replacement, revision hip/knee replacement, and the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques such as the direct anterior approach (DAA) for the hip.
Beyond his clinical duties, Dr. Colin Wang is actively involved in educating future generations of doctors and specialists for better patient care. He serves as a clinical assistant professor to Duke-NUS Medical School and a Clinical Core Faculty Member for the SingHealth Residency Programme (PGY1). Dr. Colin Wang is a certified robotic knee replacement trainer for multiple robotic systems and has trained many local and overseas surgeons. He has also been involved in the research and development of new implant used in joint replacement and shares his expertise in local and overseas webinars and courses.
