Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) implemented a new Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) in its Central Sterile Supplies Unit (CSSU) which uses robotic technology and software to automate the storage and retrieval of surgical instruments, the first such system in Singapore's healthcare sector. The system has enhanced operations at SKH's CSSU, reducing retrieval times by 50 percent, increasing storage capacity by 75 percent, and improving staff well-being by reducing manual tasks.
