SKH Nurse on Award for Nurses' Grace, Excellence and Loyalty (ANGEL) Scheme

Launched in February last year, the Ministry of Health's Award for Nurses' Grace, Excellence and Loyalty (ANGEL) scheme is a long-term retention plan aimed at attracting and encouraging nurses to pursue nursing as a lifelong career. The scheme offers bonuses of up to $100,000 over 20 years to newly hired nurses and those under the age of 46 and is expected to benefit around 24,000 nurses in Singapore's public healthcare institutions. Honeysha D/O A M Peer Mohamed, Assistant Nurse Clinician, MC L3 Clinic, SKH, who has 17 years of experience, lauded the scheme for motivating both young and senior nurses. She highlighted that the scheme not only encourages nurses to remain in the profession to help patients with diverse needs, but also fosters knowledge-sharing between experienced and younger nurses, strengthening the overall nursing workforce.
