About Researcher

Dr Liu Ling holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Nankai University, China (2015) and a Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore (2020), where her research focused on bone regeneration for spinal fusion using mesenchymal stem cells and growth factor delivery systems.

Following her post-doctoral fellowship at NUS, she joined SKH Research Office as a Programme Coordinator in 2023. Her current research investigates the therapeutic potential of natural products for inflammation-driven conditions such as sarcopenia and osteoarthritis. She is also actively involved in clinical research evaluating the effectiveness of prehabilitation programmes on improving surgical outcomes.

Research Milestones

Dr Liu Ling joined Sengkang General Hospital in Jun 2023 as Programme Coordinator to set up a new laboratory at Academia and conduct research on stem cell therapy for cartilage regeneration in collaboration with industry partners and NUS. She has 10 publications (h-index 9, Google Scholar), of which 4 listed her as first author and co-first author. Since 2024, Dr. Liu Ling has secured SGD 190,000 in research grants as PI. In addition to her research, she has guided students and junior researchers across previous and ongoing projects.
