Video Consultation

Synonym(s):

Before Your Session

For video consultations, you will need a computer or mobile device (smartphone or tablet) that has a video camera and microphone.

You will also need to install the Zoom application on your device. You may download it from:

Computer Mobile device
(download zoom application)

Google Play Store

Apple App Store

Zoom is a secure video conferencing platform approved by the Ministry of Health for teleconsultations. Each session is password-protected and we recommend ensuring your Zoom app is updated to the latest version before your consultation.

During Your Session

To join your video consultation, you can either:

  • Click on the Zoom link in the SMS sent to you, or
  • Log in to HealthHub app, go to 'Appointments', and tap 'Proceed to Video Consultation'.

This will launch the Zoom app and connect you to the virtual waiting area. If the call is disconnected during the session, please rejoin using the Zoom link in your SMS or via the app.

Tips for a good video consultation

  1. Find a comfortable private space free from distractions
  2. Turn off any music and minimise background noise. Using headphones or earpiece with a built-in microphone is encouraged
  3. Ensure you are in a well-lit place
  4. No recording is allowed (e.g. screenshot, photo, video or audio recording)

After Your Session

Phone consultations are charged at 75% of the standard outpatient specialist consultation charges. Please click here to view the full outpatient consultation charges.

Telemedicine charges and any drugs, investigations, or scans ordered during the telemedicine sessions can be paid for using MediSave. The 20 conditions covered under the CDMP include diabetes (including pre-diabetes), hypertension, lipid disorder, schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, stroke, asthma, COPD, dementia, osteoarthritis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, Parkinson's disease, chronic kidney disease (nephrosis/nephritis), epilepsy, osteoporosis, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis and ischaemic heart disease.

Your invoice will be ready by the end of the day, and you will receive an SMS notification once your bill is available. You can then pay via the HealthHub app, DBS Internet/Mobile Banking or at any AXS machine.
