Arts in Healing

Synonym(s):

Arts offer a calming, restorative and recuperative effect on patients, staff and members of the community. It has the power to heal the mind and soul, just as science has the power to heal the body. We are constantly collaborating with like minded partners to incorporate arts holistically into our approach to patient care.

These valuable partnerships have helped us to conduct a rich program of performances and visual arts involving staff, patients and members of the community.  We hope that many more will embrace our vision and join us on this journey as we settle down into our new home in the Northeast.

Performances

Performances are a way for individuals and groups to showcase their talents and creativity to an audience. Whether it is music, dance, or theater, performances provide an opportunity for artists to share their work and engage with others in a meaningful way. For many performers, the experience of being on stage and sharing their craft can be exhilarating and fulfilling, while for the audience, it can be a source of entertainment and inspiration. The act of performing can also serve as a means of self-expression and a way to build confidence and self-esteem. Regardless of the type of performance, it is important to create an environment that welcomes and supports all artists, regardless of their background or level of experience. By offering a welcoming and inclusive space for performers, we can help to nurture and celebrate the diverse talents and voices that make up our communities.
