Paediatrics

Synonym(s):

At Sengkang General Hospital (SKH), we bring the same dedication, skills and expertise of care from KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) to our patients. Patients and their families have access to a multidisciplinary team that works together, with one goal in mind: healing children as quickly and happily as possible.

The paediatric clinic at SKH provides clinical evaluation, treatment and follow up for acute illnesses, as well as primary and secondary care for chronic illnesses in children. We provide children of all ages with personalised primary care, preventive and health maintenance care, and specialty paediatric services, from baby's first check-up right up through the teen years.

We also serve as a triage and referral point for our other paediatric subspecialties in KKH, coordinating multidisciplinary care services. This is a collaborative effort between the healthcare professionals from SKH and KKH. We also work with the family physicians and general practitioners in the community to coordinate clinical care for your child, address your concerns and provide accurate information needed at each stage of your child's life.

Please note that the paediatric service at SKH is only available for patients with a referral from Polyclinics, SKH Emergency Department or the General Paediatrics Service from KKH. We are unable to accept walk-ins.

Announcements Sengkang General Hospital Holds Men's Health Forum to Champion Preventative Care and Wellbeing Among Men in Singapore On 30 August 2025, SKH held a Men's Health Public Forum at Suntec Convention Centre which drew nearly 300 participants. The forum featured expert talks, panel discussions, physiotherapist-led exercises, and live Q&As covering colorectal cancer, heart and liver wellness, weight management, mobility, erectile dysfunction, mental health, and other topics. SKH’s Community Health Fair survey findings last year revealed that while 94% of men valued healthy eating, only 11% exercised daily with nearly half exercising just 1-2 times weekly. These lifestyle gaps contribute to rising rates of preventable conditions including sarcopenia, fatty liver, obesity, colorectal cancer, and mental health issues. The event also launched "Man Up!", a book by Associate Professor Lee Lui Shiong, Senior Consultant and Head, Department of Urology, SKH, featuring true stories from patients and caregivers navigating health challenges.
