Postgraduate

Medical PGY1 and Residency

Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) is a participating site for SingHealth Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) and Residency programme. PGY1 forms the first year of postgraduate training after medical school which aims to develop a trainee to be a competent and empathetic doctor. It provides the trainees with broad clinical experience to equip them with the necessary medical knowledge and clinical skills. With diverse and structured training, the trainees will have the opportunity to rotate to various clinical specialties where they can gain exposure to an expansive range of clinical cases and interact with specialists from different fields. We have committed faculty who will ensure adequate supervision and assist trainees in making a career choice later in his/her professional life. Following PGY1, House Officers and Medical Officers can apply to their programme of choice for residency.
