Programme Overview

Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) is a participating site for SingHealth Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) and Residency programme. PGY1 forms the first year of postgraduate training after medical school which aims to develop a trainee to be a competent and empathic doctor. It provides the trainees with a broad-based clinical experience to equip them with the necessary medical knowledge and clinical skills. With a diverse and structured training, the trainees will have the opportunity to rotate to various clinical specialties where they can gain exposure to an expansive range of clinical cases and interact with specialists from different fields. We have committed faculty who will ensure adequate supervision and also assist trainees in making a career choice later in his/her professional life.
