Clinical Anaesthesia

  • The department administers several types of anaesthetics depending on the patients' conditions and surgical requirements, aiming to let patients undergo an operation or procedure in the safest possible manner.
    • General Anaesthesia: Patient is put into a state of unconsciousness throughout the operation.
    • Regional Anaesthesia: By administration of local anaesthetics to block major nerve pathways causing loss of sensation on the part of the body where surgery is to take place.
