About

Dr Johnathan Lum received his graduate degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King’s College London with Distinction in Medical Sciences. He obtained his Membership of Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from National University of Singapore. He completed his Senior Residency training and is a Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) certified specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. 

Dr Lum is currently a Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Sengkang General Hospital. His interests are in clinical nutrition and intestinal failure. He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan Award by the Ministry of Health and has completed his International Clinical Fellowship in Intestinal Failure & Nutrition in St Mark’s Hospital and Academic Institute in London, United Kingdom under Professor Simon Gabe in 2024. He currently serves as the Head of the Nutrition Support Service in Sengkang General Hospital and has developed the Home Parenteral Nutrition service in this hospital. 

Dr Lum also has a strong passion for medical education and is deeply involved with the medical education service in Sengkang General Hospital. He holds the appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS medical school and Adjunct Lecturer in Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He is a Physician Faculty for Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) programme and Gastroenterology Residency Programme in SingHealth.
