Dr Marianne De Roza graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. After graduation, she went on to complete her housemanship and residency training at SingHealth in Internal Medicine followed by Senior Residency in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She is an accredited specialist in Gastroenterology and subspecialises in Hepatology.
Dr De Roza is the clinical lead in hepatology at SKH and Director of the PEACE (Palliate End-Stage and Advanced Cirrhotics Early) multidisciplinary programme. She has written and implemented hospital protocols and is dedicated to service improvement in hepatology. She is a committee member in various workgroups for liver disease and has contributed to establishing liver disease database and clinical registry. Her research interests include liver cirrhosis and its complications, and she has participated in several multicentre research collaborations.
Dr De Roza is also actively involved in education with academic appointments at Duke-NUS, NUS and NTU and is the site director for the SingHealth Gastroenterology Senior Residency Programme.
