Pancakes are popular, especially among children, for breakfast or as a snack. However, pancakes are usually low in fibre and high in sugar and saturated fats. A diet high in sugar and fats increases the risk of obesity for both adults and children. For children especially, it increases their risk of developing chronic illness. As part of Lianhe Wanbao's healthy recipes series, SKH Dietitian, Lee Rui Jia, shared an easy, modified and nutritious recipe of blueberry banana wholemeal pancake.
