Guide Dogs on Hospital Premises 

At SKH, we recognise the essential role guide dogs play in supporting people with vision impairment. Guide dogs are allowed in both outpatient and inpatient areas of our hospital.

 For medical and safety reasons, guide dogs are not permitted in certain areas of the hospital, including:

• Isolation wards
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU)
• Psychiatric wards
• Operating theatres, endoscopy centre and other areas where invasive procedures are performed
• Procedure/Treatment rooms (including podiatry consultation rooms)
• Radiology department
• Other high-risk and treatment areas
