It is with immense gratitude and pride that I share this milestone with you – Singapore General Hospital (SGH) has been ranked 9th among the world’s best hospitals by Newsweek.
This is the 7th consecutive year we have made the list, and this achievement belongs to our dedicate staff, our invaluable partners – medical institutions, researchers, industry collaborators, and generous donors – whose support and innovation drive us forward. Most of all, it belongs to our patients and their loved ones, who had placed their trust in us at some point of their lives.
Having cared for the nation for over 200 years, we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us—pioneers in medicine, educators who shaped generations of healthcare professionals, and visionaries who believed in building a healthcare system that serves with excellence and compassion. Today, we continue this mission alongside the SingHealth national centres and polyclinic within SGH Campus, and our other sister institutions in the larger SingHealth team, whose expertise and collaboration have made this recognition possible.
This ranking is more than an accolade; it is a reaffirmation of our commitment to you. It challenges us to push boundaries in medical innovation, lead in patient-centered care, and train the next generation of healthcare professionals who will shape the future.
