Going Home After Discharge

Your doctor will inform you when you are ready to be discharged. The discharge time from the ward is 11.30am*.  Lunch will not be served. Additional charges will apply if you stay beyond 11.30am.

*with effect from 9 January 2023

Early discharge allows beds to be made available to those who need them urgently and let you continue your recovery in the comfort of your own home.

For your own safety, please arrange for a family member or friend to pick you up from the hospital. If you need to wait for them to accompany you home, we offer a Discharge Lounge for you to wait in comfort.

Your discharge documents are available on the Health Hub app. Find out how here. If you need a printed copy of the discharge documents, please inform our nurse. We will arrange for it to be mailed to your home and you are not required to wait for it before leaving the hospital.

If you require follow up at our specialist clinics, your appointment date and time will be sent to you via SMS.
You can choose to have your medications delivered on the same day to your home, without charge. Find out more about our Medication Delivery Service

Alternatively, you can collect your discharge medications with medication counselling from Inpatient Discharge Pharmacy located on Level 1 (next to Mr Bean).

Do check with our staff if you need more information on your discharge.
