Ursodeoxycholic Acid is a naturally occurring bile acid, small amounts are found in human bile. It is commonly used to help in bile excretion in infants with biliary atresia or parenteral nutrition-induced cholangitis. It may also be used to treat or prevent gallstones in adults.
Common side effects that may occur are:

If you forgot to take the medication, take the dose as soon as you remember and then continue to take it at the usual timing. Otherwise, if it is close to the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the usual time. Do not double or increase the dose.
Some medication may reduce its efficacy or increase its toxicity. Do not give your child any other medications or herbal products without first consulting your doctor.
