Founded in 2018 in parallel with the official opening of Sengkang General Hospital’s Breast Centre, the SKH Pink Peonies Breast Cancer Support Group began its story. Through the years, the SKH Peonies have grown in numbers and gained strength through comradery.
We believe that survivorship begins from a cancer diagnosis, and that positive group support allows healthy processing, encourages reflection, acceptance, and rallies strength through challenging times. Led by our breast specialist healthcare professionals and members, we conduct regular meetings, talks and events, organize holistic activities, social gatherings, promote public education on breast cancer and breast awareness. We also communicate actively via chat groups, an important channel for sharing of information and collective experiences. Our Pink Peonies #PedalForPink alongside our breast multidisciplinary specialists in conjunction with October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM).
Survivorship can be meaningful and introspective. The SKH Peonies welcome new survivors, their loved ones and caregivers, as we seek to support and motivate one another through a lifelong journey.
