The field of Plastic Surgery ranges from cancer reconstructive surgery to wound healing to the treatment of scars and wrinkles.
At SKH, our Plastic & Reconstructive surgeons place an emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and minimally invasive techniques are used whenever possible. Our plastic surgeons work closely with all of the other specialties in SKH i.e. the Breast Service, Dermatology Service, SWITCH, Orthopaedics and others. Our patients come to us needing breast reconstruction after breast cancer removal to body contouring procedures after weight loss to managing scars, wounds and more. We really cover “top to toe”. Some patients request facial rejuvenation and we offer a wide range of laser treatments and minimally invasive procedures e.g. botox and fillers.
Whether you are considering plastic surgery following trauma, disease, hereditary malformation, or for rejuvenation purposes, our multidisciplinary approach to care combined with an emphasis on using the latest technology and techniques ensures that our patients have the best opportunity for a successful outcome.
As part of individual patient-focused care, our plastic surgeons will take the time to tailor treatment and after-care to each patient's needs and circumstances. Through careful consultation and surgical intervention, our specialists dedicate their professional expertise to achieving the result you desire — whether it is functional or aesthetic, or both.
With the rise of skin cancers and increasing knowledge of various skin conditions, the plastic surgeons together with the dermatologists at SKH, have established the "Skin and Plastic Surgery clinic", the first of its kind in any restructured hospital, allowing our patients the ease and convenience to consult both specialists, be it to address chronic eczema to skin cancers requiring excision and reconstruction.
In addition to the clinical work in SKH, our plastic surgeons have a strong tradition of teaching and training of medical students, junior doctors and future plastic surgeons. They are recognised in their respective sub-specialist fields, collectively contributing to scientific peer-review articles in international journals and presenting their work at international conferences.
SKH’s surgeons from the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department provide consultation and treatment for a full range of Reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery and aesthetic procedures - please refer to our list of services above. It is very common to be concerned about the cost of plastic surgery. Each patient is unique, so it is not possible to predict the cost of plastic surgery without a consultation. You will be given an estimated fee for your surgery at the time of your consultation.
Age-maintenance procedures that utilize less-invasive and more cost-effective techniques can deliver results that look far more natural than other, more radical surgical choices. Make an appointment with us today to discuss how we can help you achieve your very best using age-appropriate procedures.
Some Plastic Surgical procedures are considered medically necessary and can be covered using Medisave and/or insurance.
